Why Did You Wear That: I get it…

By |December 1st, 2008|Why Did You Wear That?|

Listen, I am the very one to shriek with excitement over a theme party, but some of the guests of the Benefit for the children of Tanzania took it a little too far.

She is really just doing too much. The hair, the print, the jacket! It is overwhelming and it’s giving me a bit of anxiety just looking at it. He— well, he’s just guilty by association. My man had BETTER tell me to change if I try and throw a curve ball like that.

I was trying really  hard not to lose the effect of her amazing “tribal face painting” when blacking out this photo. I mean… really?

Why Did You Wear That: Don’t Drink and Dress.

By |December 1st, 2008|Why Did You Wear That?|

We’ve all done it.  Having a little glass of wine while getting ready for the evening and suddenly our eyeliner isn’t on as straight as it should be and our ability to distinguish the difference between black and navy has become blurred.

Below is a perfect example of what can happen when you drink before dressing… and then continue to drink some more…

Ignoring the strange arm movement and 8th grade dance moves and the fact that it’s 40 degrees in NY, this outfit is totally inappropriate. She looks like perhaps she had a fantastic vintage dress that was a little sheer and so she needed to put on a slip. However, after a few too many Kirs while getting ready, she totally FORGOT to put on her dress! Oops.

And from the back…. (Please also notice the atrocious outfit to the back right in this photo).

Dear lord, I hope she made it home safely…

Now, put down your tequila shot and finish with the flatiron first.

Why Did You Wear That: Citizen’s Arrest.

By |November 30th, 2008|Why Did You Wear That?|

Ever since I was a little girl, I always knew I had a purpose in the world. I think my mom actually bought me a fashion police card when I was younger to keep in my wallet.  Thanks, Mom!

Why Did You Wear That: Only YOU can prevent fashion tragedies…

By |November 30th, 2008|Why Did You Wear That?|

Unfortunately, (maybe fortunately for some) I am only one person. Therefore, I turn to you for your discriminating taste. Send any crimes of fashion that you witness in your area to tellme@whydid.com. Label where and when you got the footage and I will post the most brilliant findings on here.
Just make sure you either chop the victim(s)’s head(s) off (not literally) or black out their eyes (again, not literally). I definitely don’t have time to get sued right now. Lawsuit = stress. Stress = wrinkles. Wrinkles = Botox (and I’m far too young for that). Let me know if you’d like to remain anonymous as well!

There was a time when people just accepted how they looked and choosing a cosmetic surgeon was never even considered But things have come along way. These days, if you aren’t happy with the way you look, there are any number of ways to fix it. Cosmetic surgery can be used to make all types of changes to the body. This surgery is no longer a big deal and many people who can easily afford it, consider this surgery a part of their life. With so much potential for cosmetic or plastic surgery in the market, the number of cosmetic surgeons has increased significantly and you to do a lot of searching to find the right surgeon to fit your needs.

Let’s discuss some factors that will help you choose the best cosmetic surgeon for yourself.

Find someone who has already had some type of cosmetic surgery procedure.

Your best friend will be someone that has already gone through the process of plastic surgery and can guide with all the process involved, and may also refer you to a cosmetic surgeon that successfully performed his/her surgery. You can learn a lot of things from someone else’s experience and may feel much more comfortable after listening to his cosmetic surgery story.

Search for a specialist in the type of procedure you need.

Many surgeons specialize in various parts of the body. Make sure you choose the expert in the type of surgery you need. it doesn’t matter if you are looking for a tummy tuck surgery, breast augmentation surgery, liposuction or even botox, you need to find the right surgeon for the right surgery. Avoid the cosmetic surgeon that is expert in everything. Try to find the specialist for your specific need. Just like if the problem is about wrinkles then approach to Botox baytown like wise  you can approach specialist.

More surgeries equate to more experience.

Experience is extremely important. You want to use a plastic/cosmetic surgeon who has experienced your surgery 100’s of times, if not 1000’s. This way, you can rest assured that they can handle any type of issue that comes up with your surgery.

The correct Board Certification is a must!

Everyone deserves the best cosmetic surgeon. Skin Club cosmetic surgeon is board certified and have better knowledge of certain complex surgeries like breast augmentation surgery and liposuction that can be very hard to perform. For all such complex surgeries trust the board certified because they have the skills and technique to get the job done. However, board certification alone, isn’t what you need. You need to make sure that they are certified by the American board of plastic surgery. Any certifying board needs to be listed by the American board of medical specialties. These specialties board prescribe the residency training needed to meet the requirements of a specialty recognized by this board. Unfortunately for the consumer, there are a lot of “so called” specialty boards that don’t meet this requirement.

An Honest Surgeon can be trusted

Find a surgeon who tells you how it is… NOT how you want it to be. Your ideal choice is a surgeon that clearly explains each and every aspect of your surgery and gives you various options if the surgery is not required.

It doesn’t matter if you are looking for a cosmetic surgery or a plastic surgery; you need to find the perfect surgeon that would meet all your requirements and make your tomorrow much more beautiful.

Why Did You Wear That: Leggings!

By |November 30th, 2008|Why Did You Wear That?|

Now it’s time to discuss one of my favorite topics… leggings. Leggings are the new sweatpants, the new Juicy tracksuit. (Thank god).  Anyway, while leggings are a much more chic way to stay comfortable, it has come to my attention that many people abuse the right to wear leggings. Below I will walk you through some of the Do’s and Don’ts of leggings:

  • Leggings are NOT pants. If they don’t have pockets and they don’t have a fly, they are not pants. Please cover your hoo-ha when wearing leggings.
  • White leggings will never fly unless you are a ballerina or dressed in costume and even then, this is treacherous territory.
  • Please stop wearing leggings with open toe pumps. All this makes me think of is the Meatpacking District on a Saturday night.
  • Black is always best. Avoid bright colors unless you are 5’10, 110lbs.
  • Just because Lindsay says it’s cool, doesn’t always mean it is.http://www.lohangroupie.com/6126-leggings-by-lindsay-lohan-now-available/
  • Lastly, and most importantly, let’s face it… not every trend is meant for every person. Be honest with yourself, if it doesn’t look good, skip it.
Shirt is too short. Would be a cute look with the sneakers if she covered her snatch.
No. No, no, no!
This is an appropriate length for a top worn with leggings. I prefer a boot, but flats work as well.
Now go put some pants on.
