Monday Mashup: Do Blondes Have More Fun?

We know that they all say blondes have more fun, but is that really true? I’ve always been a blonde, myself… though I did go through a phase (much to my mother’s horror) where I started dying the underside of my hair dark… Thanks a lot, Xtina. Anyway, I wonder if there is any truth to the saying… I’ve let mine get quite a bit darker over the past few months but after seeing this, I may need to reconsider:

I actually had no idea who Emma Stone was up until a few months ago, but I find her strangely beautiful. Kind of like a hot alien. Last night, she debuted her new blonde ‘do at Trevor Live in Hollywood. She’s beautiful as a redhead, but I think she’s a showstopper as a blonde. The new haircolor is for an upcoming part, but I’m thinking she may want to stick with this shade. What do you think?

Monday (yeah, I know it’s Tuesday) Mashup: Foreshadowing the Future

Strange things happen when I peruse the internet looking at Google images… I start out looking for one thing and then I land on some type of gold mine. For instance, today I was still feeling ultra slothy and was Googling images of these cute little mammals. Then I tried to decide what celeb looked like a sloth. Mischa Barton, obvs.

As I scrolled through pics of Mishca, thinking how pretty she used to be when she was just Marissa on the OC, I realized she had a striking resemblance to someone other than a sloth:

Tell me I’m wrong. I dare you. Mischa looks so startlingly similar to Kirstie Alley in this photo that I feel like I’m slightly psychic. Is this what it feels like? Weird. Anyway, Mischa and Kirstie share more than just similar faces. Both have battled with fluctuating weight and both love to swap between blonde and brown locks. I’m gonna go ahead and let you guys vote… though I already know the outcome (I told you I’m psychic):

Monday Mashup: Battle of the Blondes

So, I was scrolling through photos from last night’s red carpet arrivals for the American Music Awards and I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the stunning Taylor Swift. She traded in her trademark ringlets for a very sleek, very sexy blowout with thick bangs (I’m calling a trend here, folks!). I felt like just giving up after seeing her. She’s so beautiful that she could have just as easily been a model. Sigh…

After I recovered, I continued perusing the photos from last night and stopped yet again, when I saw the lovely Avril Lavigne. I’m not sure what this little lady’s been up to lately other than some tabloid snippets here and there about her dating Brody Jenner, but homegirl looks great! The craziest part is that she eerily resembles Miss Swift. I don’t know whether Avril should be flattered or Taylor should be insulted. Or maybe they should just smack five and model walk away. I can’t decide. Life’s hard.

I get that Taylor has a solid 8 inches of height on Avril, but come on, tell me the resemblance isn’t a little crazy. Both are gorgeous blondes with perfect porcelain skin… not to mention they are both embracing some serious graphic design with their dresses.

Monday Mashup: The Newlyweds

So, last week Nick Lachey popped the question to long time love, Vanessa Minnillo right before they both celebrated their birthdays in Mexico. Ah… young love. The news spread quickly and focused mostly on the fact that Jessica Simpson was probably eating her weight in Hagen Daas while having a mental breakdown. Then lo and behold… We find out that now Ms. Simpson is also ENGAGED! Not even a week later, Jessica was seen sporting a ring from boyfriend of six months, Eric Johnson. Um, coincidence?

I’m not going to harp on their short courtship (cause these things do happen -wink, wink), but I’m actually more concerned with the far too obvious (might I add tacky) timing. I mean, what are the chances that both Nick and Eric had been planning tandem proposals? Slim to none. Methinks Ms. Simpson lost her shit and poor Eric feared for his life. The only way to tame the shrew? Put a ring on it. I feel halfway sorry for Eric while the other half feels like he’s a big pu$$y who knew he might be in jeopardy of losing his meal ticket (and we know Jessica never misses a meal). I smell foul play… or is that the smell of desperation?

So, who got the better bling? Eric popped the question to Jessica with a ruby ring flanked by diamonds from Neil Lane, while Vanessa was proposed to by Nick with an ascher cut diamond from jewelry designer Bader and Garin.
