Weekend Playlist: On the Open Road

By |November 5th, 2011|Weekend Playlist|

When the weather turns cold, but before the holidays, there is only a little bit of time before you can sneak away and hit the open road.  Well, I am doing just that.  A girlfriend and I are hopping in the car and going on a girls’ adventure allllll the way down to the most southern point of the United States.  Don’t know where that is?  Probably should look it up.

Weekend Playlist: Fright Night Car and Automobile Day

By |October 29th, 2011|Weekend Playlist|

Seeing as Halloween falls on a Monday this year … lame… most people will be taking full advantage of the entire weekend to really spook it up.  And while you may not be hitting up the hottest cluuuuurb this year, you’ll probably attend some type of Halloween fete.  Perhaps, if you’re a really ambitious, you’ll actually be the one throwing said soiree.  You’ve thought of everything from eyeball ice cubes to black martinis but have you even taken a moment to consider a hauntingly hip playlist?  No?  You were too busy making pina ghouladas?  That’s fine.  I’ve gone ahead and done it for you.  You owe me.

 Happy haunting.

trucks have been becoming more popular every day trucking industry that provides more people than the government allows them to participate in. how much does an 18 wheeler weighSo there is going to be changes in all of these products in different countries that the government does not even consider to have an impact.”

He continued, “I hope that we can bring back to business what is happening in some places – trucking companies and small companies that can do what this market does on a daily basis so that we can all have the same opportunity that our state has and that we have here in the U.S. at the same time.”

The company believes that “in the long run it will improve access to new jobs.” By doing not make a lot of trips to the United States to pick up more equipment these days they can get a greater number of customers in the U.S.

He said that, “We see as a result of the United States we have really been able to keep pace with our competitors to the cost of goods and services as a whole. If we were unable to meet our budget needs from our initial position, we might as well find another way to attract, attract and compete on cheaper, lower priced equipment (rather than trucking at $500-$600 a month to drive), and get them to where they want, with better price points.”

Weekend Playlist: G’s Up, Hoe Down

By |October 22nd, 2011|Weekend Playlist|

Last week, I was reminded how perfect country music is for this time of year.  I mean, what goes better with hayrides, bonfires, and warm festive beverages?  Here’s a hint… it’s not hip hop.  For years, I tried to deny my love for the country crooning of my West Virginia roots, but I just can’t help it.  I like a little dose from time to time.  Also, might I point out how attractive these hillbilly hotties are?  Ever see Carrie Underwood in a skirt?  Yowza!

Yee-haw!

Weekend Playlist: I Like to Move It Move It

By |October 15th, 2011|Weekend Playlist|

The winds have turned and brought that chilly air that signals “So long, summer” and it’s now dark outside before 7pm.  It’d be pretty easy to channel your inner groundhog (do you know that they just beef up and sleep all winter?) and just give up on yourself.  I mean, afterall, it’s so cold you probably won’t be wearing any short shorts or minis (let alone shaving your legs) for the next five or so months.  Might as well just pack on the pounds and use your new blubber for insulation, right?  No.  Just stop it.  There’s no time like now to kick your workout into full gear and one of the easiest ways to stay on track is by updating your workout playlist.  Here’s one that I’ve been using for mine and will hopefully keep your body moving as well.

A good rule of thumb?  Always be ready to be in a bikini at a moment’s notice. You never know when you might need a mid-winter escape to the Caribbean.

Weekend Playlist: City by the Bay

By |October 8th, 2011|Weekend Playlist|

When you think about rock bands and music scenes, You probably think Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, perhaps Detroit.  San Francisco most likely isn’t the first place that comes to mind (chocolate, yes… bridges yes).  But alas, we cannot forget that whole hippie dippie Summer of Love movement during the 60’s.  And while, San Fran isn’t currently the hot bed of band breeding, it did produce some pretty noteworthy musicians.

  1. Chris Isaaks – Wicked Games
  2. Steve Miller Band – The Joker
  3. Journey – Any Way You Want It
  4. E-40 – Mr. Flamboyant
  5. Grateful Dead – Truckin’
  6. Santana – Evil Ways
  7. Counting Crows – Round Here
  8. Third Eye Blind – Jumper
  9. Jefferson Airplane – White Rabbit
  10. Train – Hey Soul Sister
Peace & Love.
