Back in March, I was fortunate enough to test out the new line from Kerastase called Cristalliste. It’s been touted as the “best kept secret for long hair” and I’ve gotta say… they weren’t kidding. That’s why I couldn’t possibly keep Cristalliste a secret for long. While, I was open to sharing my latest haircare find, I do have some other secrets. And don’t we all?
Kerastase Cristalliste is now available in salons and online but, I figured I’d give you pretty ladies a chance to divulge your best kept hair secrets for a chance to win some Cristalliste of your own. But first, I will share my best kept hair secrets with you… What kind of friend would I be otherwise?
Now that I’ve shown you mine, it’s time to show me yours.
The nitty gritty: To enter, “like” Kerastase’s Facebook page and leave your best kept hair secret in the comments section of this blog post by Monday, May 14th 2012. Please be sure to include your name and email address (so you can be notified). Three winners will be chosen. Sorry, contest is open to US residents only.
Time to show and tell!

LOVE Kerastase!!
I’m a big fan of hair powders also known as dry shampoo. Great for highlighted blondes for the in between dark root days, lightens it up a bit while providing texture, body and a fix for the going from work to out on the town days. (Amy, acro3696@yahoo.com)
I have really thick, wavy but soft hair that tangles like crazy and Bc of the weight the wave doesn’t hold.
After 100 years of experimentation, I now use Oribe Supershine Moisturizer Cream (which add shine, moisture and helps with brushing out tangles). I then spray Kevin Murphy’s Hair Resort spray which holds my curls a bit and adds volume.
I brush my hairs in the shower to get rid of tangles and thus I don’t lose the curls, then wrap up hairs for a few minutes after stepping out, apply Oribe and then spritz Kevin Murphy, I then put my hairs up in a high pony and don’t touch it for a good four hours (the longer them better) take hair down and viola, curls with a bit of texture and body at my scalp Bc of the Resort Spray. I also only wash my hair a couple of times a week due to it being a bit dryer Bc of the curls and highlighting. I think that the no pooh movement is gross, and the resort spray buys me a few extra no hair washing days.
I did try Oribe’s version of the Beach spray, which took me a while to get used to, it was nice Bc it made my hair really soft but made it greasier quicker which was the ultimate deal breaker.
Pretty!!!
Shh: my secret is switching up shampoos and conditioners every few months to keep things interesting!! There’s always staples to go back to, but I think it’s good to mix it up! xx sonja (sonjarwright at gmail.com
I have super oily hair (like, so oily that I can bleach the @#$% out of it and it’s totes fine). So I only shampoo from the neck up and condition from the neck down. It keeps my ends healthy and the extra moisture off my scalp.
Love the video. I’ll share two! 1) I take Viviscal supplements (heard about them on intothegloss.com) for 6 months to encourage faster growth and stronger hair and 2) Dry shampoo! Saves so much damage. The aerosol bottles don’t travel well but Suave makes a great one with Keratin for $3.99 so you can pick one up in every city 🙂
Pretty please pick me!
My go to for a bad hair day is a top knot. I will wash the night before, then the next day I put my hair in a high pony and tease the crap out of it then twist and pin! It is as fab as a serious blow out in a quarter of the time.
