Memorial Day is fast approaching… so fast, in fact, that I didn’t even realize it was this weekend.  Guess who doesn’t have plans (yet)?  Who wants to pack me in his/her carry-on?  Anyone?

Well, for the rest of you well-organized individuals it’s time to start packing up and shipping out.  So, should you be heading to Malibu or Miami, your look needs to be beach chic, which basically amounts to looking polished without looking like you tried… not one bit.

So, it is now December. I can hardly believe it. This year has flown by!

Anyway, this means that you are starting (or if you’re an overachiever, have already started/finished) planning for your New Year’s Eve soiree. Obviously, my favorite part of any holiday, or party, or basically any occassion to dress up, is getting totally decked out. So whether you’ll be in NYC, South Beach, or jet-setting off to St. Bart’s, I’ve come up with some festive dress ideas for your very special evening. Careful with the champagne…

NEW YORK CITY

Oh, New York. I have spent a few New Year’s here, myself.  While New Yorkers tend to be elegantly understated, it is still fun to sparkle and stand out. (Trust me, I was once the only one in the room in a cocktail dress, loved it). Go with a little bit of subtle glam and comfortable (but still cute) shoes because after all, this is the city that never sleeps!

I think I may have hit the mother load. I love Miami, but seriously, I am disturbed by some of the attire I saw from these Miami party pictures. Are there a lack of mirrors there? I would be more than happy to donate personally if that’s what the problem is.

Do you kind of wonder what happened here? On one hand, I do give the young lady on the left some credit for not falling into the trap of “jeans and varied black slutty top,” however, did it HAVE to be a tie dyed t-shirt and annoying headband thing (what is with that anyway?).

Nothing annoys me more than guys like this. I mean, he might be a perfectly nice guy and save kittens for a living, but I guarantee if he walked up to me in a bar I would run the other way. I don’t even know him and I don’t like him. I know you are not John Gotti, so please stop with the lame ganster hat, thanks. (more…)
