When you think of shorts, you probably automatically envision a casual day running errands or just hanging out in the backyard (ha, backyard). Rarely, would you think of shorts as formal, but as of late, shorts have taken a turn towards formal. Celebrities have opted for shorts on the red carpet and have dressed up even their casual cut offs with feminine blouses. So, next time you’re staring into the depths of your closet trying to figure out what exactly to wear, don’t forget about your abbreviated pants (also known as shorts). I realize that the mere mention of “denim shirt” may conjure up images of mullets, Canadian tuxedos, and probably a can of Miller Lite, but in the past few weeks, celebrities and style stars alike have proven that there are several very stylish ways to wear a denim shirt. While Billy Ray is probably not your style icon, he’s notorious for sporting the style. Take a deep breath and instead channel your inner Kate Bosworth, who showed us how to do denim on denim like a pro. Not sure denim on denim is for you? Friday Frocks: Cadbury Cuties

While some of you may only look forward to the Easter season for those delicious Cadbury cream eggs and Peeps, others take this day pretty seriously. For instance, my mother. For as long as I had no say in the matter, my mom decked me out from head to toe (literally). She didn’t just stop with a pretty pastel frock for Sunday service. She went as far as sewing fresh flowers into my bonnet and that little handbag I was holding. She was at least kind enough to tuck away some jelly beans in my bag so as to keep me quiet during all those songs at church. Did I mention I’m tone deaf? Anyway, if you’re anything like my mom, you’re probably looking to deck yourself out this Sunday. Lucky for you (and the Easter bunny), everything pastel and floral is right on trend this spring and you should have no trouble at all finding something pretty to wear. I don’t care what that little groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, said. It feels like spring outside and I’m ready to throw one heck of a garden party.
