Friday Frocks: Jump At the Chance

Technically not a frocks… because, well, they’re not dresses, jumpsuits are panted versions of the maxi dress. A jumpsuit can be both casual and comfortable as well as silky and sleek. Whether you opt for uptown or down, just fair warning: it’s going to be a struggle in the bathroom. Allow for extra time and be prepared for angry, full bladdered women to anxiously sigh while repeatedly interrupting your bathroom break with angry knocks as you try to free yourself from straps, belts, and other accoutrements. That aside, jumpsuits are kind of like wearing very stylish onesie pajamas out in public without attracting public scrutiny, plus you don’t need to bother shaving. Why Did You Wear That: Weekend Warrior

As summer and steamy weather welcomes its way into our lives, so do summer Fridays and weekends away. A girlfriend and I chatted away while she packed for an exotic trip to Morocco and we laughed about how we were responsible packers and every man’s dream as we weren’t likely to pack every pair of shoes we own to match the six extra outfits that we brought “just in case.” Well, except for that one trip I took last summer wherein my entire bag broke due to sheer weight and I was berated for the rest of the week about it. view more for travel related information. That was not only irresponsible packing, but irresponsible dating. And as Hemingway once stated, “Never go on trips with anyone you do not love.” But that is neither here nor there because more likely than not we will all be escaping the city at some point and we must have the proper bag to pack along with some travel accessories to keep our jewelry and cosmetics in check.

All seasoned spring break babes know that the only part of your poolside wardrobe almost as important as the bikini is the coverup. And maybe your shades, but let’s stick with the former. The coverup must be more than your shredded denim shorts and American Apparel tank top. To be truly beach chic and to separate the amateurs from the pros, a bathing beauty should have a coverup (or four, depending on vacation duration) that is both casual and elegant, a look that says, “Oh this old thing?” while embodying a Gucci ad. Besides, they won’t let you in the restaurant without a shirt.
