We’ve all had our share of makeup mishaps (um, my neck and face were living two separate lives all through middle school), but sometimes cosmetics gone wild can really foul up a lady’s appearance. While makeup was created to make us look that much more beautiful, in some instances, it can be downright scary. Sadly, even celebrities with the best in the business in their arsenals can have their very own makeup misdemeanors. While some may be only minor… others leave these ladies looking hauntingly similar to some of our very favorite spooky Halloween characters. Pretty sure these photos speak for themselves:

One of the most talked about moments from this past weekend’s Academy Awards show was not a musical number, not a gorgeous gown, not a misplaced expletive… it was Anne Hathaway’s Swarovski crystal encrusted Brian Atwood pumps worn with her Lanvin tuxedo. Twitter exploded with “who made Anne’s shoes?” and “I’ve got to get my hands on those pumps.” Certainly a victory for both Mr. Atwood, himself, as well as Anne’s stylist, Ms. Rachel Zoe.
For quite a while, the go to glamour girl pump was Christian Louboutin, but it looks like there’s a new “it” shoe in town. Basically, if you’ve heard of the actress, she’s worn the shoe. Everyone from Blake Lively to Cameron Diaz to Dianne Kruger has been spotted strutting her stuff in these sexy stilettos.
So has Hollywood traded in the flash of a red sole for the styling and simplicity of just a great shoe?

It all looks fine from here, no? Pretty Leighton Meester. Pretty, pretty girl. Stepping out in Marchesa for the Court of Jewels Recreation launch at Harry Winston. What on earth could go wrong?
Oh… here’s what. How can two things I love so much go so wrong when put together? Leighton + Romper should = YAY!!! Instead Leighton + Romper = Ew. It appears that the lining for the romper is invisible. Hence, I can see lovely Leighton’s naughty knickers. I think i would love this if it were not, I don’t know… see through. What do you think?
