When you think of thigh high boots, your first thought may be that of Julia Roberts a la Pretty Woman, but that’s a bit narrow minded, my friend. When not constructed of man made material, over the knee boots are quite sexy, yet still very chic. Pair them with your favorite pants or a flowy dress and you are going to be the prettiest woman in the room.
Ever just feel like not getting dressed? You’d rather just stay in your PJ’s and call it a day? Well, I don’t see any reason why you shouldn’t do just that. I’m not talking about your flannel footed pajamas. I mean beautiful, well made nightgowns, chemises, and playsuits. Why shouldn’t your underwear be as pretty as your outerwear?
Oh, Rihanna, Rihanna, Rihanna (can I call you Riri?)… why, oh why must you make my job so easy? I don’t want to keep picking on you but…
Yes, we get it. Camel is in for fall. This is what you call taking a trend too literally. Do you not recall this little ditty from Tyra? Yeah, I thought so. Do you want to be like Tyra, Riri? Is that what you want for yourself?
Ugh… I will let you guys flesh this one out (ba-dum ching!)
I ain’t saying she’s a gold digger… Well, you know the rest. Something that caught my eye for Fall 2010 was the heavy use of gold and gold embellishment. One of my favorite shows of the season was Balmain. It was very gold heavy… I felt like I’d hit the jackpot. Speaking of jackpots, gold doesn’t necessarily have to be tacky (talking to you Atlantic City), it can be totally chic when done right. Here’s a glimpse at Balmain’s take on gold frocks and some ways to wear it yourself:
After spending the morning discussing menopausal women, I figured it was only right to discuss another one of fall’s trends. Oh that’s right, I’m talking about animal print. Whichever feline you happen to prefer (cougar, leopard, cheetah), it just isn’t going anywhere, folks. Another season, another runway packed full of the spotted puss. Animal print is here to stay. So whether you decide to deck yourself or just add a bit of fur, you’re sure to look fierce in the print of the season.
