Beuty Buzz: Top 5 Beauty ‘Do’s

By |November 13th, 2010|Beauty Buzz, Celebrity Style|

Rather than get monotonous, let’s take a look at this week’s most stunning ‘do’s that were DO’s. Sometimes a perfectly beautiful dress can be ruined by scraggly strands, but these ladies are polished from head to toe!

  1. January Jones sporting a sleek top knot (and a sexy back dress!) at a fundraiser in London.
  2. Lauren Conrad looks lovely at the VH1 Save the Music Foundation Gala with a sweet side knot.
  3. Kate Hudson at the Glamour Women of The Year Awards sporting some very classic Hollywood curls.
  4. Gwyneth Paltrow with a smokey eye and sleek locks at the premiere of her new movie, Country Strong.
  5. Elle Fanning looks super sweet wearing straight tresses with a embellished headband at the premiere of The Nutcracker 3D.

Why Did You Wear That: January First

By |August 30th, 2010|Celebrity Style, Why Did You Wear That?|

So, yes, we all know the Emmy’s happened last night. I, myself, did not watch seeing as I just moved into my new apartment and have yet to get cable installed. Oops. Anyway, One dress that I did catch on the new this morning was that of Ms. January Jones. She chose a blue number by Versace and apparently it’s struck up a bit of debate, although I’m not sure why. To me, this dress is not debatable. It’s ugly. I wouldn’t wear it. You wouldn’t wear it. She’s a beautiful woman, but the dress is fug. Those who say differently are suffering from “The Emperor’s New Clothes Syndrome.” Here’s the dress. You be the judge:

I give Ms. Thang credit for trying something different, but unfortunately, most times “trying to be different” equates to “trying too hard” (or just ugly).
