Sure stilettos are sexy, but there is something so empowering about slipping into your favorite fall boots for the first time. Boots come in all shapes, sizes, and shades. You could quite literally spend a year’s salary (or more) on all the amazing options… but I’m not encouraging that.

From Nancy Sinatra to Wonder Woman, some of history’s strongest women made a living by working it in their boots. So let’s take a note from the fearless femmes who have come before us and do the same.

I’m really feeling for shit kicking boots right now. Maybe it’s because I just saw a man flip out and throw something at a pizza place and feel the need to toughen up my look. Whatever the case may be, I love them paired with denim shorts and an oversized v-neck or a flirty floral dress. Here are some of my favorites:
