When I told my friend and photographer, Brian,  we should shoot these photos at the Frying Pan, he looked at me like I was a crazy person.  Most people who live in Manhattan have at some point made the trek over to the Westside Highway and Chelsea Piers to check out what is the Frying Pan.  Perhaps I take it for granted as I have always passed it on my runs outdoors during the warmer weather, but it’s a definite “must see.”  This abandoned ship is a great way to fool yourself into feeling like you might be on a cruise, probably not a yacht with Roberto Cavalli.  Good weather, bar food, and bikinis are the anecdote to feeling blue when left all alone in the city during Memorial Day.
