Plaid is a print that seems to have no shelf life.  Often associated with being buttoned up, this year’s fixation with plaid has taken more of a downtown approach.  Much of this could be attributed to the 90’s resurgence and the popularity of flannel shirts whether worn oversized atop a tank or tied around one’s waist.  Rather than wear the print in the most obvious manner: skirts, shirts, and school uniforms, try popping some plaid into your look in an unexpected variation from your head in a hat to statement socks on your toes.
