You know what I like almost as much as cashmere sweaters, puppies, and unicorns? Boots! A great pair of boots (or twenty) makes winter and the impending arctic ice storms (almost) bearable. In addition to the standard short black bootie, knee high boots, and riding boots, there are four trend heavy boots I’ve picked up on for this fall…and you should too. Why Did You Wear That: Stay Fly

The worst part about traveling to me is the process (followed in close second by packing). Getting through the airport is a simple form of hell. Having to stand barefoot in security is bad enough, but the mere thought of my skin touching the seat freaks me out (FYI- I have the same problem with movie theaters). The short answer to this problem would be to layer on as much protective layers as possible, but in case you missed the memo, it’s hot out. So what does one wear when it’s 95 degrees and about 1000% humidity? Here’s a hint: It’s absolutely NOT a Juicy tracksuit.

Look for Less: Sweater Weather

Have we come to terms with this weather yet? Or are you one of those folks who wears a parka with flip flops? C’mon. Don’t do that to me. Put away your cut off shorts, and let’s get those sweaters out of their Space Bags. You should not be hanging your sweaters, after all. Once upon a time, I had a pretty sweet gig working on product development for private label knitwear, so I know my yarns. Look for Less: There’s A Blouse In The House

A piece that all women would be wise to incorporate into their wardrobe is a feminine button down blouse. I tend to be a little “bottom” heavy – aka lots of pants and bottoms and not a top to go with ’em. A beautiful blouse can be very versatile depending on how you style it. From a casual outing (Rachel Bilson) to a very important meeting (Duchess Kate) a blouse can be worn for almost any and all occasions. Once you come to terms with the fact that titty tops are no longer appropriate, you too will be embracing the ladylike blouse.

Why Did You Wear That: Twinkle Toes

My grandpa used to call me “Twinkle Toes” and maybe that’s why I have such an affinity for these sparkly shoes. I believe he called me Twinkle Toes because I was a prima ballerina (in my own mind), but I have a feeling that nickname has nothing to do with my insatiable thirst for all things shiny.
