How To Tuesday: Slice a Pineapple, Smell Like a Kardashian
Written by: WhyDid | How To Tuesday,Vlog

A couple of weeks ago, supermarkets across the US saw a spike in pineapple sales.  It may have had something to do with a little “science experiment” executed by none other than the Kardashian Krew.  Now, I’m not sure who I’m more disgusted by: them for showcasing such unladylike behavior on national television, or you for buying into it.  Either way, I’ve always been a fan of pineapple and it’s the perfect fruit for summer fetes, but it can appear to be a bit daunting in its native state.  Have no fear, chopping up a pineapple is much easier than one might have guessed and it’s also chocked full of health benefits other than those not suitable, however, still mentioned on TV.

How To Tuesday: The Easter Bunny Cometh
Written by: admin | How To Tuesday,Vlog

So, it snowed here yesterday, which reminds me of the story my mom told me of once building an Easter snow bunny.  Might be happening again this year.  Despite what the weather and that damn groundhog have up their sleeves, the Easter bunny is coming.  That means it’s time to decorate some eggs.  Granted I haven’t done this since I was like seven and I can only assume I was simply overseeing the procedure, so I thought I’d revisit this darling tradition.  Turns out dyeing Easter eggs?  Not so awesome.  But, if you must, here’s a quick tutorial on how to get perfectly pastel Easter eggs for your Easter brunch party.

WhyDid Dance Off

imovie mashupWell, it sure has been a “trying” past week.  And you guys should know by now what the one thing that makes me feel so much better when I’m having a rough go is.  No, no, not wine (although that certainly doesn’t hurt).  I’m talking about busting a move, cutting a rug, showing off my sweet, sweet dance moves.  It’s no secret that I’ve got moves like Jagger… as a matter of fact, some might venture to say he got some of his from me. Whatever the case may be, when I saw the beautiful and talented Solange Knowles’ new video for “Losing You” my mind was blown.  When I first heard the song, I wasn’t 100% hooked.  However, after a couple of listens, it grew on me like a barnacle.  And then… I saw the video.  Seems ol’ Solange and I may have been cut from the same dancing (sequin and tulle) cloth.  Could it be?  Might there be a long lost Knowles sister?  A cousin at the very least?

Next time she makes a video, she should probably call me, huh?

Thought so.

How To Tuesday: Fake It Til You Make It

fake eyelashes1. Ardell Lash Grip Eyelash Adhesive, $4.99, 2. Japonesque Slant Volume Eyelashes, $8, 3.Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezers, $12.50, 4. Benefit They’re Real! Mascara, $23, 5. NARS Eyelash Curler, $20, 6. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Oil Slick, $19

You know that one beauty product you can’t leave home without?  I would say mine is probably mascara… or Benetint.  But I would be willing to bet that the majority of you ladies are probably with me on the mascara tip.  So, what happens when you need to take it up a notch and really knock ‘em dead, but your everyday mascara just isn’t cutting it?  Well, that’s where fake eyelashes come in.  Perhaps you only think of wearing falsies during Halloween or a Broadway production, but you’d be surprised to find out just how many celebrities and regular ol’ gals are sporting lash enhancements on a very regular basis.  To be quite honest, I don’t often don false lashes because they make my eyelids heavy (I guess they need to hit the gym) and we all know that I can be a bit of a narcoleptic, so my lids don’t need any encouragement to shut.  However, I do love the look.  So below, find my tips and tricks on how to apply fake lashes without a fuss:

Time for your feedback…

How To Tuesday: No Fuss, No Muss Curls

poodle beach wavesLet’s be serious, this summer’s humidity has made poker straight hair a futile effort.  I tried this past week- left the house with hair that was sleek and sexy, twenty minutes later it was just crazy and kinky.  (Thank goodness for a quick fishtail braid).  Needless to say, this calls for an alternate hairstyle and unfussy curls are just the ticket.  Long gone are the days of pageant curls and Shirley Temple ringlets.  The modern take on curls is no fuss, no muss.  In this week’s episode, I’ll show you how to achieve the look with three straightforward methods (pun intended).

Editor’s note:  Yes, I’m an a-hole who kept referring to the Sultra Bombshell as the “Sulta” Bombshell.  Blame it on the humidity. xx

how to get gorgeous curls1. Elle Bobby Pins, $4.87, 2. Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray, $35, 3. Sultra Bombshell, $130, 4. Ultra CHI Dazzling Kaleidoscope Flat Iron, $99.95, 5. Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-Humidity Hairspray, $4.49

And next week?
