Whydidja…feel the DIRE need to stand on the left side of the escalator during rush hour? Was it to block people with jobs trying to COMMUTE to work from walking up? TWO LANES of traffic, people. Left is for walking – right is for talking.

Dear Confused (Annabelle),
I’m not sure what you don’t get? Whydidja’s are simply daily pet peeves about socially unacceptable behavior. Today, escalator courtesy was discussed. Perhaps you don’t live in New York City and don’t have to battle the commuters in the morning.
